On October 13, OpenAI unveiled a strategic partnership with Broadcom, with the ambitious goal of jointly rolling out 10GW custom AI accelerators. Within this collaborative framework, OpenAI takes the lead in designing the accelerators and crafting the system architecture. Meanwhile, Broadcom plays a pivotal role by actively participating in the joint development and deployment processes. The two entities have inked a long-term pact to co-develop and supply AI accelerators. Broadcom has laid out plans to commence deployment in the latter half of 2026, with the expectation of wrapping up the project by the close of 2029.
