On October 10, Reuters reported, citing sources close to the matter, that Zhiyuan Robotics, a manufacturer specializing in humanoid robots, is gearing up for an initial public offering (IPO) in Hong Kong next year. The company has set its sights on a valuation ranging from HK$40 billion to HK$50 billion (roughly equivalent to US$5.14 billion to US$6.4 billion). Zhiyuan Robotics has already garnered significant financial backing from prominent investors, including Tencent and Sequoia Capital China. To steer its Hong Kong listing, the company has enlisted the expertise of CICC and CITIC Securities as lead underwriters, with Morgan Stanley recently joining the underwriting consortium. Nevertheless, Zhiyuan Robotics has refuted these reports, clarifying that the information is inaccurate and that the company currently lacks concrete plans for a Hong Kong IPO.
