The U.S.-based humanoid robot startup has rolled out its third-generation humanoid robot, named 'Figure 03.' The promotional video reveals that this robot can seamlessly carry out household chores as well as a wide array of job-specific tasks, all with smooth and natural motions. This represents a notable advancement compared to its predecessor.

The robot's exterior is clad in fabric, and this soft outer covering not only makes it user-friendly to handle but also allows for easy dressing up with different clothing items. The hand design is more refined, boasting soft and flexible fingers that can detect pressures as slight as 3 grams. Additionally, the palms are equipped with built-in cameras. The visual system has received a thorough overhaul, providing AI models with higher-quality data inputs.

The new robot's body is lighter and more compact. It comes with a certified battery system that offers enhanced protective features. The audio hardware has also been upgraded. The soles of its feet support wireless charging, enabling automatic recharging and data uploading, along with high-speed data transfer capabilities.

This robot is well-suited for both domestic and commercial environments, thanks to its improved actuator performance. It stands out as the first robot specifically engineered for large-scale production, with redesigned components aimed at cost reduction.
