OpenAI officials have announced that their newly launched AI short video app, Sora, has exceeded 1 million downloads within a mere five days of its debut. The app allows users to create short videos at no cost by simply inputting text prompts. However, Sora has encountered significant pushback from entities like the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA), primarily due to concerns over copyright infringement. The MPAA has highlighted that numerous short videos produced by Sora feature unauthorized film and television characters and content, thereby amounting to a systematic violation of copyright laws.
