The Swiss industrial behemoth, ABB, has inked a deal with Japan's SoftBank Group, agreeing to offload its robotics business division for a staggering $5.375 billion. The transaction is slated for completion between mid and late 2026. This strategic move is poised to net ABB a substantial cash influx of roughly $5.3 billion, while also yielding a non-operating pre-tax accounting gain of approximately $2.4 billion.
