According to sources familiar with the matter, Elon Musk's artificial intelligence startup xAI is planning to expand its fundraising scale. With the support of investors such as Nvidia, the current fundraising round will be increased to $20 billion. As the information has not been made public, these sources requested anonymity. They stated that this round of financing includes equity financing and debt financing through a special purpose entity (SPV), which will purchase Nvidia processors and lease them to xAI for its 'Colossus 2' project, xAI's largest data center project in Memphis. The sources also mentioned that Nvidia intends to invest up to $2 billion in the equity portion of this transaction.
