Bryan Yeo, the Chief Investment Officer of Singapore's sovereign wealth fund GIC, has voiced concerns that while AI startups are currently drawing in substantial investment, the valuations of these companies in their early stages are already exhibiting telltale signs of a bubble. Data from PitchBook reveals that in the first quarter of 2025, AI startups collectively raised a staggering US$73.1 billion in funding. This impressive sum constituted 57.9% of the total global venture capital investment during that period. The industry remains divided over the potential risks of such a bubble. As a result, investors are urged to conduct thorough evaluations of a company's true value to steer clear of blindly following market trends.
