Microsoft has declared a hike in the AI feature usage allowance for subscribers to Microsoft 365 Personal and Family plans. Previously, users under these two subscription tiers were allocated 60 AI credits each month, which they could utilize for AI-powered functionalities like Copilot across applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Designer. Each engagement with AI features would deduct one credit from their monthly allowance. Once these credits were depleted, users were required to upgrade to Copilot Pro to enjoy unrestricted access.
