At present, Neuralink's pioneering device has been granted the prestigious status of a "Breakthrough Device" by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). This designation is anticipated to expedite the evaluation and approval process, paving the way for quicker market introduction.
Since embarking on human trials in 2024, Neuralink has successfully implanted its chips in 12 participants across the globe. These trials have yielded a substantial amount of real-world data, enhancing the understanding and refinement of the technology.
