Under the leadership of Academician Guo Guangcan, the team from the University of Science and Technology of China has achieved remarkable strides in the realm of semiconductor qubit gate manipulation. Professor Guo Guoping and Professor Li Haiou, both members of this team, worked in tandem with Origin Quantum to successfully execute geometric quantum gate operations in a germanium-silicon heterojunction semiconductor quantum dot system. These operations boasted a fidelity rate exceeding 99.9%, thereby offering vital technical backing for the development of large-scale, fault-tolerant quantum computing processors. The pertinent research findings were published online on August 26 in the internationally acclaimed journal Nature Communications.
