AI - tech firm World Labs has just rolled out a limited - beta version of its innovative 3D world generation tool, Marble (accessible at marble.worldlabs.ai). This tool is built upon a proprietary model. Leveraging this model, it has the capability to craft interactive 3D environments. These environments are characterized by stable structural integrity and a consistent aesthetic style, all generated based on either image or text descriptions. What sets it apart is that it grants users the freedom to explore these virtual worlds without being hampered by time restrictions or experiencing jarring scene inconsistencies.
When compared to its predecessors in the field, this new model stands out by generating 3D worlds on a larger scale. Not only are the worlds bigger, but they also boast a wider variety of styles and exhibit a more discernible 3D structural logic. Users are empowered to both view and create 3D scenes through Marble. Moreover, they have the option to export these scenes in the 'Gaussian Splatting' format. When paired with the open - source rendering tool Spark, these exported scenes can be seamlessly deployed across a range of devices, including PCs, mobile phones, and VR devices.
It's worth noting that, at present, the model's main focus lies in scene generation. It does not yet offer support for the creation of independent objects like characters or animals.
