As reported by the Beijing Daily, beginning with the autumn semester of 2025, over 1,400 primary and secondary schools throughout Beijing will officially initiate comprehensive artificial intelligence education courses. These courses are set to engage more than 1.83 million students across the city's educational institutions. Earlier this year, in March, Beijing unveiled pertinent strategies aimed at constructing six fundamental systems. Subsequently, in June, a curriculum framework was issued, serving as a guiding 'blueprint'. When it comes to curriculum resources, the inaugural batch comprises 160 city-level course materials, encompassing all levels of education. Regarding teaching execution, distinct goals have been established for each educational tier. Moreover, a multifaceted approach has been adopted for curriculum assessment. To guarantee the successful implementation of these courses, several measures have been put in place. An expert panel has been assembled, essential instructors have undergone specialized training, a 'rural-urban partnership' scheme has been launched, and resources have been shared to forge an 'educational alliance'.
