Google has just revealed that its AI-driven search feature, “AI Overview,” is expanding its language support to include five new languages: Hindi, Indonesian, Japanese, Korean, and Brazilian Portuguese. Initially, this innovative tool was accessible only to English-speaking users and had been rigorously tested for over six months. In March of this year, Google introduced “AI Overview” to subscribers of Google One AI Premium, incorporating a tailored version of Gemini 2.5. By August, the feature had evolved to offer intelligent functionalities, though some of the latest enhancements are currently exclusive to Google AI Ultra subscribers in the United States. To use “AI Overview,” users can simply click on the designated tags on the search results page or utilize the dedicated button in the search bar. Google is aiming to make “AI Overview” the default search mode, but the feature and its recent updates have sparked some controversy. In response to concerns, Google has refuted claims that it will negatively impact website click-through rates.
