A spokesperson for Meta confirmed that they are now training these AI chatbots to refrain from providing responses to sensitive topics, such as self-harm, suicide, and eating disorders, during interactions with teenagers. This measure aims to prevent potential emotionally inappropriate exchanges. Meta further stated that in the future, when appropriate, these AI chatbots will direct teenagers to resources provided by professional organizations.
