NVIDIA's latest financial report shines a light on a notable trend: the company's revenue is heavily reliant on a handful of customers, with the top two accounting for an impressive 39% of total revenue in the second quarter. Notably, the datacenter business has emerged as a cornerstone, contributing 88% of overall revenue, predominantly catering to major cloud service providers and ODM/OEM manufacturers.
Amidst concerns regarding this customer concentration, NVIDIA's management team has asserted that demand is broadening to encompass enterprise users, emerging cloud service providers, and international sovereign AI initiatives. They anticipate that this sector will generate $20 billion in revenue. NVIDIA CEO Jen-Hsun Huang expressed optimism, forecasting that the global AI infrastructure market could surge to a trillion-dollar scale and that the company will sustain profitability across its GPU and other chip segments.
