The Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) has released a draft proposal titled "AI Content Disclosure Header Field." This initiative aims to integrate a novel machine-readable header field within HTTP responses, explicitly indicating the extent of AI's involvement in content creation. The header field comprises five key elements: mode, model, provider, reviewed-by, and date. This approach is designed to facilitate search engines, archiving systems, and other stakeholders in swiftly recognizing AI-generated content, enhancing indexing efficiency, streamlining compliance reviews, and bolstering the accuracy of data archiving. Currently, the draft is open for public comments, and any feedback received may lead to future adjustments.
