IEEE Fellow, wireless communication MIMO expert, and 3GPP standard expert Zhou Yongxing, who previously held the positions of Huawei's Chief Scientist (Deputy) for Standards and Patents and Chief Expert for Terminal Communication Standards, has joined Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications (BUPT) as a Distinguished Professor in the School of Cyberspace Security. During his time at Huawei, Zhou Yongxing spearheaded pivotal technological advancements in multi-antenna technology, flexible spectrum utilization, AI communications, and notably, direct satellite connectivity for mobile phones. His appointment will bolster BUPT's research prowess in cutting-edge fields including wireless communication security, AI, and space-air integrated communications.
