X-energy has inked cooperation agreements with Amazon, Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power (KHNP), and Doosan Enerbility, aiming to expedite the introduction of the Xe-100, a cutting-edge fourth-generation small modular reactor (SMR), and TRISO-X fuel into the US market. This initiative aims to address the surging power demands of data centers and artificial intelligence (AI) applications. The Korean collaborators will back the deployment of over 5GW of new nuclear energy projects in the United States and explore potential cooperation ventures in other global regions.
