On August 22, the Hangzhou Municipal Education Bureau convened a press conference on AI education, complemented by a training session on teaching reform. During the event, two pivotal documents were unveiled: the "Local Curriculum Outline for Artificial Intelligence Education in Primary and Secondary Schools in Hangzhou (Trial)" and the "Framework for Artificial Intelligence Literacy of Primary and Secondary School Teachers in Hangzhou (Trial)". Commencing with the new semester in September, AI general education courses will be fully integrated into the curricula of Hangzhou's primary and secondary schools, ensuring a minimum of 10 class hours per academic year. These courses will revolve around four core themes: the evolution and implications of AI, foundational knowledge and principles, practical application and innovation, as well as ethical considerations and safety. This comprehensive approach aims to foster AI literacy across various educational stages.
