Two American adult film production companies, Strike 3 and Counterlife Media, have initiated a lawsuit against the social media giant Meta in a California court. The complaint alleges that Meta illegally downloaded at least 2,396 films since 2018 to train its AI systems, specifically including the "Meta Movie Gen" video generation model and the "LLaMA" large language model. The plaintiffs are seeking damages amounting to up to $359 million.
