Huawei has unveiled the HarmonyOS Application Developer Incentive Program 2025, targeted at all HarmonyOS developers, encompassing individual developers, enterprise developers, and development service providers. The program aims to bolster the HarmonyOS ecosystem by motivating developers to contribute to the creation of applications, games, and meta-services through financial incentives. Applications developed and listed on the Huawei AppGallery between July 23, 2025, and December 31, 2025, can earn a maximum cash reward of RMB 10,000 per application, with a collective cap of RMB 6 million. Additionally, at the DEF CON 33 hackers' conference, security researchers revealed a clickjacking vulnerability affecting six major password manager browser extensions, jeopardizing the security of roughly 40 million users and potentially resulting in the compromise of sensitive information. Several vendors have already addressed this vulnerability, and users are advised to disable the auto-fill feature until a repair is implemented to minimize risks.
