On August 21, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) launched a collection initiative aimed at gathering typical application scenarios of Artificial Intelligence (AI) empowering small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) for the year 2025. This endeavor focuses on showcasing how SMEs leverage AI technology to innovate products and services, thereby fostering a fundamental transformation in their business models. The specific collection directives encompass two main areas: firstly, intelligent products, which incorporate state-of-the-art AI technology and feature capabilities such as autonomous sensing, deep learning, autonomous decision-making, and interactive feedback, targeting smart or virtual products tailored for future innovative scenarios; secondly, intelligent services, which encompass new services and innovative business models enabled by AI technology. These scenarios should illustrate how SMEs, propelled by technological advancements, achieve significant shifts in their business models and development trajectories, unlocking new commercial avenues.
