As of August 18, Wind data revealed that over 96% of equity funds have posted positive returns this year, with more than 20 funds doubling their performance and over 1,000 funds achieving gains exceeding 30%. The profitability of equity funds has been noteworthy this year, continuously rectifying the declines experienced in recent years. For instance, the latest index for stock-biased funds has surged to a three-year high, and in August, the net values of more than 2,000 equity funds also scaled new peaks. Fund companies generally concur that ample liquidity-driven incremental funds and the gradual resurgence of corporate profits are the pivotal factors propelling the equity market into an upward trajectory. Looking ahead, fund companies and managers remain optimistic, particularly about investment opportunities in burgeoning sectors such as AI, fintech, national defense and the military industry, semiconductors, and robotics.
