According to Nate and industry sources, SK Hynix is preparing to send samples of its new-generation high-bandwidth memory HBM4E to major customers, with the first batch of samples to be shipped as early as this month and no later than next month. Given that HBM4E is planned for mass production next year, customer testing, verification, and optimization need to be completed in the second half of this year, making the sample delivery timeline critical. HBM4E, the seventh-generation product, is expected to be used in Nvidia's next-generation AI accelerators. SK Hynix's core chips will adopt the 1c-nanometer process, with the base die manufactured using TSMC's 3-nanometer process.
