On June 11th, MetaX, a prominent domestic enterprise specializing in high-performance GPUs, and UBTECH, often referred to as the "pioneer in humanoid robot stocks," inked a strategic cooperation pact in Nanjing. Together, they founded a joint venture named Xixuan Chuangzhi Technology (Wuxi) Co., Ltd., boasting a registered capital of 100 million yuan. This venture is dedicated to the research, development, and large-scale production of embodied AI chips. The core focus of the project lies in embodied AI edge chips and their integrated solutions. The timeline includes chip tape-out in the latter half of 2027, followed by mass production in 2028. The overarching goal is to bridge domestic technological gaps, bolster the self-reliance of humanoid robots, and foster a comprehensive industrial ecosystem.
