On June 5, 2026, Intel and Japan’s renowned Hitachi unveiled a strategic partnership. The primary objective of this alliance is to enhance robotic output and energy efficiency within manufacturing plants, and this collaborative effort will also encompass Intel's in-house fabrication facilities (fabs). Specifically, Intel is set to integrate Hitachi's artificial intelligence service, HMAX Energy, into the management of its core power equipment. Concurrently, Intel has plans to provide high-voltage chips to Hitachi, aiming to further refine and optimize Hitachi's power systems.
