In the presentation materials released ahead of its recent technology symposium, TSMC pointed out that the global semiconductor market size is expected to surpass US$1.5 trillion by 2030, an upward revision from the previously forecasted US$1 trillion. TSMC predicts that AI and high-performance computing will account for 55% of this US$1.5 trillion market, smartphones will account for 20%, and automotive applications will account for 10%.
