The Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA), drawing on data from the World Semiconductor Trade Statistics (WSTS), revealed that global semiconductor sales soared to US$298.5 billion in the first quarter of 2026. This represents a remarkable 25% quarter-over-quarter surge, setting an all-time high for quarterly revenue. Specifically, sales in March exhibited a robust year-over-year growth of 79.2% and a notable month-over-month uptick of 11.5%. Revenue in the Asia-Pacific region and other areas witnessed a staggering year-over-year doubling, with a 108.5% increase. Meanwhile, the Americas, China, and Europe saw growth rates of 83.1%, 74.8%, and 46.5%, respectively.
