A Huawei executive revealed that, owing to production capacity limitations, the company has not yet made a full-fledged entry into the international market. At present, it is only supplying a limited quantity of products to select countries with a robust demand. Through pioneering innovations in cluster and super-node architectures, Huawei has established a solid foundation for computing power and remains committed to an open-source strategy. Currently, Huawei has decided to put its global AI chip promotion plan on hold, with the next-generation Ascend 900 series AI accelerators being exclusively available in China. The company has set its sights on entering the South Korean AI chip market in the fourth quarter of 2026. Previously, Huawei has displayed its cutting-edge super-node products and solutions on the global stage. The soon-to-be-released Ascend 960 series NPU promises performance on par with some of AMD's and NVIDIA's AI GPUs; however, the overseas market demand for these products remains uncertain.
