On May 6, NVIDIA and Corning Incorporated announced a long-term strategic cooperation to jointly expand the manufacturing scale of advanced optical connectivity solutions required for AI infrastructure in the United States. According to the agreement, Corning plans to increase its U.S. optical connectivity manufacturing capacity by 10-fold and expand its domestic optical fiber capacity by over 50%. This move aims to meet the demand for high-performance transmission components in AI factory construction, including the establishment of three advanced manufacturing facilities in North Carolina and Texas.
